Hyatt High Sierra Lodge - Incline Village, NevadaThere are very few resorts out there that are open year -round with attractions for each season, as well as having views of mountains and lake at the same time. And Hyatt High Sierra Lodge in Incline Village, Nevada is one of them. Sitting near Lake Tahoe, the resort even has easy access to a white sand beach. Can you really hope for more?

Lots of ways to explore the nature
Some of us like to be out in the nature as much as possible, and sometimes they feel nothing is enough. However their thirst for fresh air might be quenched through hiking, riding horses or bikes while exploring the many trails in the area, as they’re opened to all those options. Since you have the chance to see many breathtaking views, make sure you go prepared to immortalize them. Make sure to ask the staff about some good picnic locations as well, as this activity can be a very relaxing one.

Have some fun in the water
As mentioned, the lodge is located near a lake, and many people like having fun there by either sunbathing or by enjoying some extreme water sports. You can go boating, rafting, water skiing, and even try your luck at catching fish. However if you’re feeling lazy you can just swim in or relax by the pool. If you travel with young children, you’re supposed to supervise them around water, as there is no lifeguard on duty. Furthermore, the pool is an outdoor one, and so it can only be used if the weather allows it.

Visit some museums
There are several museums in the area that you could visit. The National Automobile Museum is the one that sounds the most interesting out of all of them, or if you like vintage vehicles. This museum is also popular among children, as they love learning new things. You can also drop by a history museum and an art museum. Which ever you choose to go see, you can be certain the experience will be unique and plenty entertaining.

Play some golf
The lodge doesn’t have a golf course of its own, however there are four nearby where you’ll be more than welcomed to practice your swing. All four courses are designed with 18 holes, and operate starting May, and till October. It really doesn’t matter where you go, as stunning views are waiting, and you have more than enough space to improve. Make sure to book your tee time before getting there, to make sure you are accepted.

Go check out the slopes
While you know that water skiing is possible on the lake, you should know that winter skiing is also possible. There are many slopes around this lodge, for both cross country and alpine skiing. The closest place where you can enjoy this winter sport is Diamond Peak, found just 2 miles away from this lodge. As a side note, in some of those places you can even ride snowmobiles and even showcase your snowboarding skills.
